Bra Decorating Competition

Bra Registration Opens on March 2, 2026

Put your creativity to work for a cause that matters by entering your one-of-a-kind bra design in the Bra-ha-ha Awards Show & Auction. This unique experience brings innovation and philanthropy together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer prevention and treatment.

Each bra entry requires a non-refundable $25 entry fee (ticket to the Awards Show & Auction not included). For those looking to make an even greater impact, the Bra Maker Package is available for $100 and includes the bra entry fee plus two tickets to the Awards Show & Auction—an exceptional value of $175. Please note that the bra must be completed to qualify for this special pricing.

All entries must adhere to the Entry Rules & Submission Guidelines (available when the application is posted), and the organizing committee reserves the right to decline any submission that does not meet the criteria.

A Grand Prize winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, with additional awards presented in categories such as Most Creative, Best Craftsmanship, Most Inspirational, and more.

Join us for an evening that celebrates creativity, courage, and a shared commitment to breast health in our community.

Bra Entry Rules & Submission Guidelines

  • All bra entries must be created using a new 38C, back-closure, underwire bra. All straps, as well as the front, back, and sides of the bra, must be fully decorated. Strapless bras cannot be accepted. Bras should not be sewn closed, and the interior of the bra does not need to be decorated.

Bras must be well constructed, as they may be moved, mounted, or displayed in various ways. Any appliqués or added elements must be securely attached. Sewing is preferred; however, strong adhesives and other mechanical fastening methods are acceptable. Tape is not permitted.

To qualify for judging, each entry must clearly resemble a bra and be sized to fit completely within a 24” x 12” container with the lid closed.

    Judging & Display

If a bra does not meet the entry rules and guidelines, Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation (CRHF) reserves the right to display the bra but remove it from the judging process. All bras and inspiration statements must be received by the designated drop-off deadlines to be eligible for judging.

    Materials & Construction

Bras must be made from materials that are clean, non-perfumed, non-perishable, and not inherently hazardous. Food or food products may not be used.

Bras should be constructed in a manner that allows for mounting, transfer to a display mannequin, or wearing by a model. While staff will handle all entries with care, CRHF is not responsible for damage to submitted bras.

If your design includes lights or sound, staff will make every effort to activate these features; however, functionality cannot be guaranteed. We recommend including a clearly written note with instructions that can be attached to the bra.

    Inspiration Statement

Each bra entry must include a 70–100 word inspiration statement describing the concept behind the design. Bras may be registered in advance without the statement; however, entries without an inspiration card submitted by the registration deadline may be displayed at the Awards Show & Auction but will not be eligible for judging. CRHF reserves the right to edit inspiration statements that exceed the word or character limit.

    Additional Information

Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation reserves the right to retain all winning bras for promotional purposes.
